Flat enamel is a paint with a durable flat, matte finish. It's a good choice for powder rooms and halls as it holds up well with just occasional cleaning. Where to Use Interior: Walls, ceilings, woodwork; bedrooms, family rooms, dining rooms, kids rooms and offices. Surfaces: Wood, drywall, aluminum, masonry, brick, stucco and vinyl. A general rule is that the shinier the paint finish, the better it will stand up to washing and cleaning. Use soap and water for cleaning the painted surface. Do not dispose of this product down a drain. Instead, contact your household refuse collection service. Protect it from freezing. 250-300 Sq. Ft of coverage per gallon. For best results, priming the surface first can reduce the need for a second coat. The manufacturer recommended primer for this paint is Diamond Brite 40100 Interior/Exterior Latex PVA Primer Sealer. Diamond Brite cannot guarantee 1 coat coverage on all jobs.

First I'm not sure why there are negative reviews about this Diamond Brite Dove Grey paint. This was my first time using this brand and was happy to find it being on such a tight budget. The room I used it in hadn't had a new coat of paint in over 30 years so I did prime the walls first and that took 2 coats to fully cover since it was so long between paintings. I knew going into this job that 1 coat of paint wasn't going to work, even if I was to purchase a $35 gallon of paint. Yes the first coat didn't cover completely but the second coat sure did. When I first opened the paint that had been sitting at my home since delivery over a week prior to using it I found it took little effort to stir the paint. There wasn't a thick sludge on the bottom that had to be incorporated into the paint, it only took a few minutes of good stirring to mix the paint well and it was ready to use. It went on smooth and even, not too thick and not too thin. My problem was that being on a budget I purchased a inexpensive roller and covers which I know I won't do again. If your on the fence about purchasing this paint I would have to tell you to go ahead and get it. It has very low odor, apply's well and dries quick. My only negative about the paint is the color, not that it isn't correct but that I thought it would be a bit darker, maybe I was thinking of a Pigeon and not a Dove lol. I have included a photo of a piece of copy paper against the wall to give you a idea of the shade of grey it drys too.I will be a regular customer now of Diamond Brite paints - one room down and 6 more to go! lol. Oh and by the way I did use the Diamond Brite White ceiling paint and it worked just as well!Painted walls bedroomI do a lot of painting and other store charge double,This covered very well. Worth the priceThis paint is so ineffective I'm going to have to apply multiple layers just to get an acceptable finish. The Price is Right which is why I gave it a couple Stars besides that everything else is two thumbs down. I've learned my lesson and next time we'll buy expensive paint with primer built in it makes painting so much faster and it comes down to being cheaper because you do less coats.Very thin paint, but it was to freshen up a hallway with a nearly identical shade that was nearly 10 years old.Use a good brush, apply a thick amount to small areas at a time, and it worked how I needed to.If you're looking to change a wall color, either use a better brand, or prime the wall first. This paint work perfect for what I needed to get paint,lt was very inexpensive, I would say it would be great for painting a fence or something similar in gloss. BuhFor an expensive paint, I'm very happy with how the job turned out. I ordered this at the same time I ordered the Diamond Brite PVA primer and applied it for the first time to a room that had not been painted for over ten years.Just like the primer, I mixed up the paint, poured it in the paint pan, and rolled it on. From my college days, working part time in Home Depot, I was trained to use a good quality roller voer and brush, and the primer and paint did what I expected. From my Home Depot days, I would not compare it with Behrs Best, but for less than 50% of the price, I must admit it is pretty good.If you can get the plastic lid-lock off without totally ruining the can, what you get inside is paint the consistency of cheap ranch dressing. It covers about as well as if you used ranch dressing too. Someone advised me to just return my can when I asked how to safely remove the lid-lock. I wish I had taken that advice because this was a waste of energy, time, patience, paintrollers and money, and my painting project is now on hold while I go buy better paint. Save yourself the frustration, folks, you've got enough going on.
