Decided on butterscotch and I love it.This is absolutely beautiful! Love it n I didn’t need a second coat!I liked that it worked well as paint.The color subtle sunshine is not the color shown on the website it is bright blinding yellow on ropnof that I can't stand the smell it is rancid meant bg it is old paint I have had this pain since February 8 the and am just now able to use it and because if this I can't return it because if the 30 day return policy nit very happy at all. I paid $31+ for rotten paint that is truly the wrong color. Thank you very much...I bought this because it said only one coat needed. This is not true. It took three coats to cover up my existing color on my testing spot. If I could have sent it back I would have. Even though this paint was suppose to be a primer as well, I had to go a buy primer to paint over my existing color so I wouldn't run out of paint. This was a lot more work than I bargained for. Buyer beware!!!!One thing I have to question here is packaging. The shippers or warehouse was careless, despite double boxing and padding, the lid was dented up on this paint. It seems it's OK, but if it had broken the seal the paint would have dried up. eggshell the combination look of the paint is great for almost any indoor application. It's nearly flat, but there is a sheen that makes it nearly semi-gloss. Yellows are notoriously bad coverage paints. I had a small area in the corner of the kitchen that was scruffed up, and although the kitchen is off white, I could use this 3 X 8 foot area as a complimentary accent wall. I marked it up some more with my shoe, and a pencil and then wiped it so nothing loose was left. I then used a 2.5 inch nylon brush, painted a stripe in the corner and across the top and the bottom, and used a six inch roller to do what we used to call a coat and a half. That is roll across, then down with a dry roller, roll across the next part with wet, then down with dry till you reach the bottom then roll from ceiling to floor with the semi-dry roller. I waited for it to dry and carefully checked for bleed through, I could detect nothing, so I give it an A coverage grade. It's still possible it would get bleed through with reds or cigarette smoke not properly cleaned. It was however, much better than I expected.When on the job 30 plus years ago, I remember putting three coats of yellow in a living room before getting coverage. It was surprising to me that white was the best cover back then. It didn't make logical sense to me, just like white cars show the dirt less than any other color and black the worse, paint used to cover best with just white. Maybe it's the primer, but this seals and covers very well. I like this yellow, it blended well with the off white, and the dark wooden cabinets in my kitchen. I actually have enough left to do the entire kitchen since it's not got a lot of wall space, but I'll save that for later. Recommended, Glidden paint seems just like I remembered it decades ago.I'm a fan of this versatile product line from Glidden. I've been getting their "One Coat" Eggshell Interior Paint + Primer for a while now. It costs a bit more, but simplifies the painting process. The warm Demeter hue is mellow and unobtrusive enough for total wall coverage and it also makes a great accent color. It reminds me of freshly harvested bales of hay. The one gallon cans ship with the lid double secured and wrapped in plastic. It is easy to open though, and all I need to do is shake it up a bit (or stir) and then pour it into my pan. It rolls onto the walls smoothly and doesn't splatter easily, though that is always a concern. It can have some streaks at first but it evens out when it dries and provides excellent coverage. You may need to touch it up in the corners, but generally one coat is all it takes to cover the previous paint and marks on the wall. In rare instances a second application might be necessary to make it perfect.A single coat of Eggshell (Satin) has excellent opacity and the finish is somewhere between flat and semi-gloss. It can be used just about anywhere in the house. I enjoy the oh-so slight shimmer that 'eggshell' provides. It dries quickly (but not too quickly) and is durable as all get out after 24 hours. When set, is simple to wipe clean with a light cleanser or soapy water. There is the distinct scent of paint when applying it, but nothing offensive or too intense, so don't worry about using it in confined spaces. Said scent dissipates quickly in 12-36 hours. Colors are a personal preference, and I find the Demeter hue to be calming and refined looking - both cozy and cottagy. Cleanup takes a little time since this is such a thickly pigmented paint, but it is easier to work with than some other brands I've used in the past, and a lot easier than oil based paints. You pay a premium for this top of the line Glidden, but you get your money's worth. I can't speak to the lifetime guarantee, but it does add peace of mind that it will last.~ Kort
